You may have already clicked on our “Los Gatos Wineries” page, in which case you’re well aware that (in our opinion) Napa is lovely, but it’s also 100 miles North of us, and how long that takes depends on your luck with the traffic. The popular wineries get booked up quickly so, if you want to do a tour, do your research and get booking! The more we think about it, the more we feel like Napa is more of an overnight destination.
We’re more than happy to do the drive, if you want to go! We can’t really make recommendations yet, so it’s probably best that you do your own research and planning. That said, if helpful, we have visited Chateau Montelena (which was a beautiful building, with stunning gardens and, if you know or care about the Judgement of Paris, this is worth a visit so you can try to winning Chardonnay from the 1976 tasting that made history), Spring Mountain (which Napa Wine Project says is “arguably one of the more photogenic wineries in all of Napa Valley”, and Mumm Napa (also beautiful views, and bubbly!)
