Those Redwoods…
It’s a breathtaking place to spend some time – it does get busy though, and getting there is a bot of a nightmare. You can take a taxi there, but there’s no cell service, so it’s tricky to get out – we once ended up sharing a taxi with a woman and her daughter. You can book parking, do park and ride, or go as part of a tour.
I’m just going to pinch a bit of blurb from their website (as I couldn’t out it better myself): Walk among old growth coast redwoods, cooling their roots in the fresh water of Redwood Creek and lifting their crowns to reach the sun and fog. Federally protected as a National Monument since 1908, this primeval forest is both refuge and laboratory, revealing our relationship with the living landscape.
